A pilot since W.W.II, Karel Lambert enjoys many sports--especially golf. He has done a lot of hiking the most notable venture being a hike along a thousand year old trail from the Baltic Sea, through the German Black Forest and over the Swiss Alps via the Gothard Pass, to the Mediterranean. A fitness addict for over 35 years, he ran many 10 K's and some triathlons in his		50s He no longer competes in these activities, but still works out several times a week, and, when home, hikes daily with his wife, Carol, and his dogs, Elwood and Baxter. He enjoys classical music preferring the compositions of Brahms, Berlioz, Richard Strauss, Mozart, and Samuel Barber. He especially fancies the opera and ballet.
